Is it ਲੈਤ or ਲੈ ਤ

When I was doing sehaj paat the other day, I was unsure to what was the correct reading of the following repeated lines in Gurbanne in ਭੈਰਉ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ i.e what was the correct pad ched.

ਨਾਮੁਲੈਤਸਭਦੂਖਹਨਾਸੁ ॥

Was it

ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਤ ਸਭ ਦੂਖਹ ਨਾਸੁ ॥

Or

ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈ ਤ ਸਭ ਦੂਖਹ ਨਾਸੁ ॥

I've seen it written down as ਲੈਤ in the pad ched prints but something inside me was telling me it should be ਲੈ ਤ.

Can someone please clarify what is the correct reading.

I suppose if there are no reply's then this is probably another padched only Guru Sahibs knows.

Khalsa jio,

It seems like ਲੈਤ is correct paddshed. Never noticed ਤ mukta as alone word (may be another GurSikh can confirm this). See this similar meaning tuk:

ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਤ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥ Panna 1298

Hope that helps. Bhul chuk di khima.

Veer Khalsaspirit Jee,

I have seen ਤ mukta as a alone word on many occasions in Gurbanee. In fact when I was doing Paat today the following line appeared

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਮਿਲੈਤਖੋਜੀਐਮਿਲਿਜੋਤੀਜੋਤਿਸਮਾਨੀ ॥1॥

I think the pad ched should be

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤ ਖੋਜੀਐ ਮਿਲਿ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥1॥

However I am not very good at grammer so I was wandering if there was a grammatical reason for using ਲੈਤ rather than ਲੈ ਤ.

Goroo Piaray Jeo !!

It seems separation of "ਤ" could bring conditions, if, but, and, or, arguments, cause and effect etc. Where as ਲੈਤ seems to reflect continuity in the "blessings with the company of Naam" or along with Naam- which is beyond these conditions.
