The Sixth, Seventh and Eigth Guru's

Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji and Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji left us with no bani in Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Does this mean that they contributed less than other Guru's who did write in the Guru Granth Sahib?

Does this mean that the other Guru's did more for us and are more useful in solving our daily issue?

The Future is Bright

The Future is Bright? - Future looks very dim from what I can read.

If one believes that all the Gurus had the same jyote and we believe them to be the same, then how can you even think of the statement you have put ?

Firstly who are we to say why they did or did not add bani?

Secondly those were very troubled times and the main reason they did not compose bani was that the likes of Dhirmal and others were trying to pass of their compositions as bani and to stop this the Gurus at the time did not uchaar any bani-------- to keep us from ambiguity. So , the Guru always thinks about his Sikhs, but it is us who will continually point fingers at our Guru.

What do you mean other Guru's, there was only ever 1 Guru - 1 Jagdi Jyot.

The creation and implications of the Akal Takht and Akal Sehna is no small feat. It is this that eventually moulded the Shastardhari Khalsa form and notion of self preservation and preservation of the weak.

Nor is giving setting the example of ultimate sacrifice through nishkaam seva. it is through influence of these actions that the Bhai Kanaya set his example and the Seva Panthi Khalsa was formed.

All our Guru's actions were one and same, inter-dependant, over-lapping, connect...

Agreed that the Jyot is the same but the body did change right? So when refer to the Sixth, Seventh and Eigth Guru Sahibs I'm refering to their "forms" or "Mehls". By Bani I mean compositions in the Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Your question has been answered. Gurbani was written in relatively peaceful times. From Guru Hargobind Sahib onwards - preparations were in place to create the 1st Sikh fauja(n). According to Budda Daal, it took 16 years of hard training (Shastar Vidya, not gatka) for a sikh to fully battle proficient and skilled (not meaning that all were) - but then skill lessened with less training.

Horse riding and Shaster Vidya were introduced and maintained alongside the kirtan and kathaa traditions. Again when time allowed Guru Tegh Bahadur and Guru Gobind Singh were able to write Gurbani.

Circumstances dicated actions. We could also argue why did the 1st to 5th Guru's not give time to or teach Shastar Vidya - it would be a silly stance to take - the need of the hour dictated the action.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa
Waheguru ji ki fateh

Harcharan Singh jio,

Quote "What do you mean other Guru's, there was only ever 1 Guru - 1 Jagdi Jyot."

Very good, at least some how Singh jio concluded,ਦੇਰ ਆਏ ਪਰ ਦਰੁਸਤ ਆਏ. We hope you will keep that conclusion in future too.

IK GRANTH, IK PANTH and IK NISHAN.

Guru Mehar Karay

Waheguru ji ka khalsa
Waheguru ji ki fateh

Khalsa Spirit Ji,

Would you like to expand?

Waheguru ji ka khalsa
Waheguru ji ki fateh

Harcharan Singh jio,

Quote"Khalsa Spirit Ji, Would you like to expand?"

No idea in what sense the question was asked but why not khalsa spirit should expand all over. Certainly it's not in your or our hands.

Thaks for your attempt at hybrid philosophical humour.

"We hope you will keep that conclusion in future too."

And what makes you think I have not kept this view in the past.

As my gursikh siblings have pointed out, there is no difference in 10 Guru Sahibaan. The same Guru-jyoti was working in all Guru Sahibaan and it is this Guru-jyoti that was the Guru. The Guru jyoti chose to go in 9 khands of this planet in it's first jaama to do parchaar of Naam and chose to get shaheed in the 5th jaama. It chose to wear two kirpans of Miri and Piri in the sixth jaama.

It is mauj of Siri Guru jee that they did not uchaar any baani in 3 jaamas and uchaar massive baani in 5th jaama. Why did the Guru-jyoti not create Khalsa in the 1st jaama? Why did Siri Guru Dasmesh jee not include his amrit baani in Siri Guru Granth Sahib jee? There are so many such questions that we can never know answer to. What can we mortal beings imagine the reasons for this? Siri Guru jee is extremely great and we are extremely lowly. What can we say about this.

Daas,
Kulbir Singh

Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh.

To Non-sikhs the Guru Sahibaans may be 10 human dehs. To us there is always only ONE - right from Japji Sahib wherein it is stated clearly that..EK Oankaar - Guru Sahib are ONE JYOT - with ONE MISSION - towards Final Conslusion of ONE Guru Khalsa Panth under the ageis TABIYAH of the One Jugo Jug Attall Guru Granth Sahib ji.

Gurbani is Dhur KI Bani - ucharan of Gurbani is according to His will. Bhai lehna ji didnt uchaar even one word when he wasnt yet GURU ANGAD JI SAHIB quite late in life - Bhai Amardass Ji also didnt uchaar any Bani until He was GURU AMARDASS JI SAHIB even later in life (70s when little men like us begin to totter and become senile !!) Guru Amardass Ji gave us the Shahkaar ANAND SAHIB !!) is there alogical explanation ?? NO. Its Akal Purakhs Jis WILL. Guru Arjun Ji Sahib ucharred such a massive maount of Gurbani..truly Bani ka Bohitha - Ship of Gurbani...and Guru Ji also became the First Shiromani Shaheed of Sikhi.
There is also a visible thread..or for a better word a link...in the spread of Gurmatt- Each Guru sahib set up new towns, new kendars of sikhi parchaar, Guru Angad Ji popularised the SCRIPT GURMUKHI in which Guru nanak ji composed Gurbani, established sachools and paathshalas, began the collection of contemporary history of Guru nanak ji sahib, set up PHYSICAL EDUCATION akharras etc for healthy bodies in parallel with healthy minds.. THese HEALTHY BODIES and Naroyah sreers would be the basis of the armies of GURU HARGOBIND JI in the Four Battles with the fully trained armies of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan.....and Guru Amardass ji set up 22 manjis for parchaar even FURTHER - in far off lands, further propounded the institution of LANGGAR - Both SHABAD LANGGAR and FOOD LANGGAR - food for the MIND and BODY- further strengthening Guru nanak Jis principles of Naam Jappnna...Kirt Karnee.... Wand chhaknna. An ordinary SIKH could learn Naam jappna in the Sangat, and at the same time share his honest labour KIRT through the Guru ka Langgar ..all in one central place. Guru Ramdass Ji Sahib set up another Kendri Asthaan the Harmandir Sahib...for bigger Sikh gatherings and and Guru arjun Ji Sahib compiled and parkash the AAD GRANTH ....and Guru Hargobind Ji sahib set up the Akal takhat Miri Piri concept one step further. Guru Har rai ji expanded on these further by keeping an armed force of 2000 horsemen...Guru Harkishn Ji sahib went on humanitarian Mission to Delhi to do parchaar among the sick and dying humanity..and Guru teg bahadur Ji continued the spread of Sikhi as far as Bengal ( which Guru Nanak Ji had done 200 years earlier...and finally gave His head for humanity in Chandni Chowk to set the stage for Guru Gobind Singh ji complete the Mission of GURU NANAK JI begun 250 years earlier.

The JYOT is ONE..we just have to take off the "blinkers" and "see" with our inner eyes. Its always been EK Oankaar- EK GURU..EK Panth.. EK Guru GRANTH ...EK NIshaan..the Dori running through from 1469 to today is still very visible.

JSGyani
