Whats the best way of memorising gurbani off by heart (kanth). For example sukhmani sahib, asa ki vaar or jaap sahib.

Is their any food one can eat to boost ones memory level. Alot of gursikhs say eat alomonds (badaam). This will help you memorise gurbani (kanth).

Is their any methods one can recommend to memorise lots of gurbani please.

Thank You

Gurfateh!

I personally have serious issues memorizing bani. Whatever bani I have memorized hasn't been due to serious attempts but has come naturally.

I think reciting the bani out-loud and having a partner correct you or help you where you get stuck is probably the best method.

Some Singhs memorize bani very easily while others struggle.

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ke Fateh

Gaini Takhur Singh Ji Said that the best way to learn bani from memory is to write the bani.

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ke Fateh

You could try learning a bani in small portions - one ashtpadi of Sri Sukhmani Sahib or one chhaka of Asaa Ki Vaar at a time.

The repetition of doing the banis daily will also help you memorize them naturally in time.

read the bani that you wish to memorise daily
or if you cant do that, listen to it daily
when you think you have a grasp of it, try and say it off by a heart, but have a gutka handy, and when you are unsure of something, use the gutka to make sure that you are right.
some baniaa are easier to memorise than others.
jaap sahib is particularly hard, whilst many people find jap ji sahib fairly easy.
