They obtained shaheedi.
Probably in the shaheed fauja, unless Maharaj has something other duty for them.

not to be insensitive. but how did they attain shaheedi? it was an accident and it was according to his will. this is good enough. why add more to it?

they were very good gursikhs, and they would have attained shaheedi had they had the chance, but they didnt. calling them shaheeds is not something we have hte power to do.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Wahegur Ji Ki fateh.

I agree with ... above. How can we confer "shaheedee" on anyone we like.....??? as and when we like ?? NO Shaheeds CHOOSE DEATH BY HONOUR There MUST be a CHOICE - to take DEATH or AVOID DEATH !!!
a motorway accident confers NO CHOICE.

Guru Arjun Sahib Jee is a SHAHEED because he could have "avoided" the painful death had he desired by capitulating before the mOghuls...HE CHOSE a DEATH of HONOUR...similar to all those HUndreds of Thoisuands of SHAHEEDS.....even Baba Zoravar Singh/Fateh Singh who could have accepted the Gifts of the Moghuls and become Moghul Princes and lived a life of luxury......but they Chose Death with HONOUR..

Did the Singhs in question "CHOOSE" death by accident ?? Were they given a choice ?? This was a simple accident....a way of death chosen by guru Ji for them. A similar accident in India also took a few more Gursikhs like them. How can anyone dying in an accident/plane crash/earthquake/disaster/shipwreck/ etc etc where there is NO CHOICE to AVOID DEATH be called a shaheed.....this will swell the numbers of shaheeds by MILLIONS.....

These were Gursikhs, pooran Gursikhs, doing the Guru Ji's Work unselfishly and without personal gains....and Guru Ji thought fit to take them away through a road accident. Guru Ji knows His ways....but we shouldnt read too much into this accident and make them shaheeds...a NOBLE TRADITION which began with Shaeedean de Sartaj Guru Arjun sahib Jee...this Traditional school of Shaedee Faujaan has very strict rules of entry _ DEATH BY CHOICE....NOT ACCIDENTAL DEATH.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

What is the definition of the word shaheed? I thought a shaheed is anyone that leaves their body doing some sort of work/seva for the panth. An example that I have is, there was a Nishan Sahib dee seva going on and the singh doing the seva fell down from the top and left his body. The sangat was saying that he obtained shaheedi.

What if someone is doing keertan and a bullet goes through their head during an attack on the gurdhwara? Would that be considered a shaheedi? What if that same person was doing keertan and a fan fell from the roof on their head? Would that qualify them for shaheedi? I think finding out the meaning of the word shaheed might shed some light on this.

Someone that obtains jeevan mukti, while still living in their body, is called a living shaheed.

The thing that regular moorakhs like us don't understand is PICHLE JANAM. We are not able to see the lives that people had previously. We only see the physical, or what's in front of us, but we don't have the spiritual avastha to look beyond the physical and see people's souls, knowing who they were in last lives and why they were sent here again

Brahm Gianis/Sants can realize and know these things.

With regards to the three Gursikhs who left 2 their heavenly abode, there have been Sants who have commented on the 3 Gursikhs and have said things about their previous lives. Even if they died innocently in this life, their souls were not from "here." They were extremely blessed people. That's all I can say on a public forum.
(Just to note, many shaheed singhs and singhnees from Puraatan times have and are being sent back to strengthen Sikhi on earth..)

Anyways. . .

These Gursikhs died innocently, but they always kept death in front of their eyes. That's a quality all 3 of them had - they knew death was near and they were prepared. Parminder Singh Jee used to say "keep two things on your mind at all times - 1) God and 2) Death." Rena Kaur and Charanjit Singh were said to have expressed similar views, talking about how we only live for one breath and that we will all have to go back to our "soreya dhaa ghar" ('in-laws house') one day soon.

I have a benti that we don't talk negatively about such Gursikhs, it's not even good to talk about them at all, as people can get offended and their families may not approve of it. They were really high calibre Gursikhs. Great is the fortune of those people who ACTUALLY knew these 3 Gursikh personally rather than just hearing about them.
