As a little kid, do i need pesh?

These are some incidents I had as a little kid

1. When i was amritshukh, I only thought that the hair we had to keep was our hair (stuck to our head).. didn't know that other parts of our body were considered as hair.. I was in grade 4. and i cant remember if i was amritdhari or not but i had seen a razor and was curious to know how it worked.. so i took it and wanted to see if a hair would come off, and i used it and i think it did or it started bleeding.. something like that..it was long ago.. but i dont remember all too well, and it was all unknown, so do i need to get peshed??

2. When i was a kid, my mother had gone to work and was to come home late, so i went downstairs and the lady was amritshukh or had broken it i dont know, and i was like to her can u give us something to eat, and she was making chicken with some sauce sabjee, and i was like we dont eat meat, so just give us the sauce, i was totally unaware that the sauce would count as meat, believe me i was just a kid.. I think i was amritshukh at that time i dont know, do i need to get pesh?

all of those instances have happened when i was a little kid, i havent commited any bujjar kurehits or anything with mental awareness
i dont know if it counts as i was a little kid before and didnt have that knowledge

Maybe this is the time we do more parchaar to little ones so they can think from making these kind of silly mistakes
Maybe they should know what amrit is all about and what they can do and cant do

If you were to young to know what amrit was all about, then you were probably too young to understand what was going on and then, by default, it's best if you go before the punj pyaaray anyways. This isn't a negative thing. The only negative part about it is if our ego is hurt by doing this. Going before the punj pyaaray should not be something we are reluctant to do.

So the simple answer to your question is that yes, you should probably pesh and explain how you didn't know what amrit was about and because Punj Pyaaray are the Guru's own, they'll tell you what you need to know and what to do to make your spiritual life even better.

That you've done ardaas and feel regret is good. It wasn't your fault. But like I said, you should get peshed anyways now that you're older. Trust me, it won't be so bad :) .

Isn't pesh only to be used when you know that you are doing something wrong, and understand that it was wrong.

From what "my story" is saying it seems as though, because he/she was very young, didn't know that what he/she was doing was wrong.
So why would he/she go to the Punj?

Getting pesh isn't always for known mistakes. It can also be for unintentional ones. But here I think what's being said is that it would be beneficial for this person anyways since he was clearly too young to remember his amrit sanchar and he could go again and get a "refresher" if you will.

"..."

why are we all so deathly scared of peshing?

"So why would he/she go to the Punj?"

do you need a reason to go see your guru? we should all be dying to go in and speak to the guru and get some pearls of wisdom. I know gursikhs who find any excuse to go into the panj at every amrit sanchar. though this may not be right all the time (ie they have been kicked out of the amrit sanchar by panj because they keep coming haha)

but we shouldnt be so scared about talking to the guru and getting advice. if we go to the panj to get advice on a regular basis our lives would be so much better.

the problem is that most us (including me) do not have a gursikh lifestyle and we are afraid the panj will punish it for us thus hurting our ego. we need to see beyond this because when our ego is hurt we will grow as gursikhs.

go see the panj as much as possible, when u need advice or have anything to talk about.

thats what the guru is for!
