Delhi Sikh Committee chief bailed out

Amritsar - The five Sikh priests on Friday bailed out Parhlad Singh Chandok, the president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), from allegedly honoring Jagish Tytlor and Sajjan Kumar, both of whom were allegedly involved in the Sikhs massacre in 1984.
However, the five Jathedars directed Chandok to be cautious in future while bestowing honour upon someone. The Jathedar's of five Takhts took the decision after deliberating over the clarification personally submitted by Chandok before five high priests.
Notably Akal Takhat's Jathedar Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti had summoned Chandok to submit his clarification regarding honoring Jagdish Tytlor in a function. Tytlor is a union cabinet minister in the UPA government.
However, Vedanti condemned the Congress-led UPA government for including Tytlor in union cabinet.
Vedanti said the five high priests were satisfied with the clarification submitted by Chandok. Sikh clerics observed that Chandok had not honoured Tytlor in any Gurdwara or in capacity of president of a gurdwara committee but the function was held in a club and Chandok didn't know that he would be honouring Tytlor. "He didn't do it deliberately," said Vedanti. (ANI)

It is pretty pathetic as is but I urge all gursikhs to refrain from challenging the decision of Akal Takhat, openly.
We should work towards making Siri Akal Takhat Sahib's jathedaar more independant and not dependant on any Akali leader. Once we accomplish this, there will be no need for any criticism as all the process will then be fixed. Until then, the best course to take is to protest silently by sending letters of protest to Siri Akal Takhta or using other such means. To openly, ridicule the jathedaar would do more harm than good.

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh.
thats about all we can do veer kulbir singh ji....the situation is beyond control. I had stated the obvious in my earlier mail that all this chandok affair hoo haa was only until the sgpc elctions..after that all would be A-OK and it is A-OK.
Only a very strong personality like sant jarnail singh bhinderawalh can set things right in our apex institutions..only time will tell when such a person will take charge of the berdi of the Panth to bring it ashore.... till then this boat will be rocked along the rapids...
