URGENT: Any Gianis here? Help needed!

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh!

I just want to inform the Sangat that 'Punjabi Computing Resource Centre', located at guca.sourceforge.net is underway editing the Gurmukhi Unicode Font for computers. It is such a "font", which enables programming and even advanced searching with Gurmukhi.

The matter concerning Gianis is that, since there is a demand to convert Sri Guru Granth Sahib (or perhaps other common writings in 'Older Gurmukhi script') to Gurmukhi Unicode, the author of GUCA needs to know if there are any additional akhars/symbols used in SGGS that are not found in modern Punjabi script/language.

His name is Sukhjinder Sidhu. He has mostly relyied upon the Text Trivia document on Gurbani found in Gurbani-Cd.
http://www.gurdwaramidhudson.org/gurfiles/Text%20Trivia.pdf

So his question is: are there any other distinct Akhars/half-digits/vowels that are found in Gurbani that are not given in the Text Trivia document above. Also if any such Akhars are found in Dasam Granth, Janamsakhian, Rehatnameh or infact any other Old Punjabi literature, that anyone here knows of i feel that should also be told ASAP.

Visit his site forum here: http://guca.sourceforge.net/forum/

The reason, once the Unicode is made...it will be very hard to edit it again, if not impossible...so once he has made any font-symbols/Akhars...we will be stuck with it. So i hope, for developement of Gurmukhi, please those Gianis who have sound knowledge of Gurbani..pleas help him.

Deep Singh.

Thanks Mkhalsa ji!

ok i get since the present online SGGS is in these fonts...they for sure have all the akhars, right...

but what about Dasam Granth or other scriptures...that is not in question now...but i feel in the future that can be an issue..do you know if they have any other symbols that are not found in Gurmukhi used in SGGS?

Thanks again..
