waheguru ji ke khalsa waheguru ji ke fateh
it may be sounds silly butwhat r exactly gostes and demons an dains?
Did they do something bad in their previous life?

I heard those that think of their house and money when they die become ghosts. Their ghost form will remain in their house.

There are many references to the 14 worlds, 6 above and 6 below with earth in the centre and 'heaven' above all...various descriptions of what exactly constitutes these 14 worlds can be found in Dasam Bani and also in many Buddhist traditions.
It would appear in addition to the post from "kaur" which is taken from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib (Bani Bhagat Farid Ji), that these beings inhabit these lower planes of the 14 worlds/realms (perhaps worth further investigation?).
