Kabeer, those mortals who consume marijuana, fish and wine
- no matter what pilgrimages, fasts and rituals they follow, they will all go to hell.

Vahiguru ji ka khalsa, Vahiguru ji ki fateh!

Sadh Sangat Jio,

This Pankti is absolutely ignored by modern day 'Akali Nihangs'...i wonder what yester-year's 'Akali Nihangs' made of it.

i briefly discussed this Pankti, in the true 'Vichaar Spirit' of Sikhi, with a famous Nihung not so long ago and his response to this was interesting. To paraphrase him:

He said: 'Siree Guru Granth Sahib Ji provides Shant Rass whilst 'Dasam Guru Durbaar' and 'Sarbloh Guru Durbaar' provide Bir Rass'.

i said: 'ok, but why does that mean this Pankti does not apply to 'Akali Nihungs' who according to Siree Guru Sahib Ji will all go to Narakh?'

He said: 'Bhagat Kabir Sahib was a Vashnaivite'

Without getting in to the rest of the conversation, i left with the following learning points:

- The modern day vocal 'Akali Nihangs' seem to believe that Siree Guru Granth Sahib alone cannot fully create the Sant-Sipahi spirit. Therefore Siree Guru Sahib Ji is not 'complete' in this sense.

- They have a two-tier approach towards Siree Guru Sahib Ji i.e. it seems that 'Bhagat Bani' does need to be heeded by them.

Anyone interested in this and other related issues, visit this thread at SikhSangat.com:

Many of these issues are currently being discussed however, i must say that 'modern day Akali Nihungs' / Sanaatanists / Sympathisers do not seem to be joining-in with the discussion.

Don't tell me you honestly expect to find out the views of what nihungs believe off an internet message board. Most of the nihungs that I know don't even know how to use computers.

Dear Veer/Bhain '?' ji,

i think you are absolutely right - that's why i 'personally' discussed it face-to-face with a UK-based Shastarvidiya Gurdev who is apparently the UK Jathedar of Buddha Dal.

For anyone reading this thread, Veer/Bhain '?' is absolutely right...don't believe everything you hear/read.

By the way, the conversation was perfectly amicable and i found him perfectly reasonable and in no way intimidating or boisterous; they opposite in fact...the conversation provided me with Sikhi.
