vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh

Why is it that some young amritdhari women look forward to marraige? I dont see amritdhari men doing the same. Neither should women. I don't know if this is a part of womanhood, but what I'm trying to say is.. The only way we can rid ourselves of such thinking is doing prayer. Please may we join our hands together and take part in prayer with mind, body, soul.

Thank you jeo for your time

Whats wrong with looking forward to marriage? The chance to share and improve your Sikhee with someone?

Yeah, what IS wrong with looking forward to marriage? As "abc" said, marriage is a chance to share and improve your Sikhi with someone, amongst many other benefits, so why shouldn't singhs AND singhnees look forward to it?

And is there a "Marriages 2" post coming? I'm looking forward to it -- both marriage AND the marriage post ;)

I know plenty of amritdhari men who also look forward to marriage.

I don't agree with your justification. Could it not just as easily be said the other way around? Maybe the men should follow the lead of women. Just because you claim men don't look forward to marriage doesn't make it the right/better thing.

Who knows what is right or wrong, only the person committing the act is in a position to judge themselves. All depends on how its affects YOUR sikhi.

I look forward to my marriage !!!!!

Heck I am SOOOOOOO excited about my marriage...

The angles, holy men, silent sages, and the 330,000,000 deities have come in their heavenly chariots to see this spectacle.

Says Kabeer, I have been taken in marriage by the One Supreme Being, the Lord God. ||3||2||24||
