Without mentioning names, a certain 'false' prophets, a so-callled sant, is being accused of sexual harassment, and even rape. Evidence exists of his actions. This self proclaimed sant of sikhi is very powerful, and rumors have it that he has been commiting such acts, for over ten years.
Please, if anyone has heard of a sant from sikhi, being accused by any sister of ours, please bring it to the fore front, so that action can be taken to begin ridding sikhi of such monsters..
The only reason he has been able to continue commiting such acts, is because of our so-called 'indian society', where the victim either keeps quite herself because of the negative reaction from society, or her family down-play the whole situation, again because of 'what will people say...'
But this time he commitied these vile acts with the wrong people, an educated true sikh girl from the west, and an educated girl from India.

Whoever it is whether a keertani, granthi, whatever ... If someone does something like this to our sisters they should be dealt with so that they would never even think about doing something like that again.

i once heard that the Singhs, when they were sure someone was a rapist, would tie that person to a bed and burn them alive. Is this true?

He frequents Canada on a yearly basis, and the UK. at least three to four times a year.
His most devoute sevak, his 'gadhbea' (personal assistant) found out about the on-goings, and left along with at least four other chardi-kalla wale singhs.
This is not a rumour being spread, but evidence exists.
This whole Sant-chella thing has to be stopped. There is denying the 'parchar' he does, but even so the crime that he commits behind closed doors, is crime!!

Can we please look to have evidence before casting any names around, otherwise this is nothing more than rumour-mongering.
As per the "Indian Society", I think one will find that this is common across the globe, even the UK and US, many Rape victims are reluctant to come forward and those that do are receive minimal support.
This is a wider problem than for only those of Indian descent, however it is a problem that needs addressing ASAP.
Earlier this year an incidence in the North of England, where 2 Granthis were allegded involved in a sexual assault, the members of the Gurdwara committee actually beat up the victim further when she ran to them for support claiming she was bringing a bad name to the community.
With this type of reaction, it hardly surprising that when girls are attacked (even if physical and they successfully fend off the attacker), many don't let others, including their families know of it, because they fear they will be blamed (and further insulted/harmed) for somehow "encouraging" the attack -I had personally had Sikh Girls tell me of such occurances (for what of their privacy, I will not disclose any further details).
As per the situation at hand, regarding Sants/Babas/Gyanis/Bhais' -a lot of the issue is also clearly with the 'personality-worship' of these figure heads by the Sikh masses -another side of the coin which needs to be addressed.

Why don't you just bring out the facts and expose the person because of the influential position he might hold, instead of slandering something because of your personal opinions. Sants have done great seva for the panth and if people listened to sants they would follow the teaching of Guru Granth Sahib.

THIS IS NOT A RUMOR, I HAVE SPOKEN TO TWO OF THE VICTIMS MYSELF. THEY HAVE NOTHING TO GAIN. AS TRUE SIKHS THEY HAVE SAID ENOUGH. THEY DO NOT WANT ANOTHER FEMALE TO FALL VICTIM TO THIS MONSTER.
HE HAS BEN ABLE TO BUY OFF AT LEAST ONE OF THE OTHER GIRLS....
since i heard about this, a large number of his close sanghat members have backed right off, they had suspected something was not right.....!

We understand your pain and agree that this so called sant should be exposed in sangat but we don't think this can be done on internet. Also, we try our best to stick to our policy of not allowing personal attacks or attacks on Sikh organizations on this forum.
Since you are from Toronto, we suggest that you contact one of our local (Toronto) panthik newspaper e.g. "Sanjh Savera" and let them expose this so called sant. They are pretty good at exposing fake sants and they recently spearheaded in exposing the cultist Narinder.

this is a forum, were people from all area's of the world collectively discuss issues facing sikhism, yes i agree the papers will expose him, but we cannot afford for this to happen yet, the are actions being taken against him...., hence why we are asking our fellow sikhs if anyone has experienced such offences....
This forum is to gather additional strenght to out-root him, the newspaper world would be on another level, ONLY exposing him..

We do believe what you are saying about this fake sant. We know he is a fake sant and we know this from long time. Some of our Singhs may have discussed this with you many months ago.
In order for us to allow him to be called a rapist on this forum, we will need proper proof and documentation; in case we are questioned on the validity of posts against him.

If only people would stop following these fake sants and babas.
IF you know your sant baba is not a fake - persuade him to STOP using the title...then ONLY the FAKE ones will be left...BECAUSE they SURE as HELL WONT DROP the TITLE that MINTS MONEY for them.
The TITLE is NOT NECESSARY for PARCHAAR, GURSIKHI, KAMAII etc...
A famous KIRTANIYA who was previously a SANT andkept insiting his dera gave him the title and he was entitled to it has FInally seen the light adn dropped the SANT from his name and become a Bhai. Good for him. ALL the real sants should follow his example. ONLY our EGO and HAUMAII are in the way.
A real SANT loses nothing if he drops his title.....a FAKE sant LOSES ALL if he drops it... This is the LITMUS TEST of real SANTIGEE.

This issue here is not the use of names. If it was, will stopping the use of the word religion/sikh stop people from using religion for monetary gain?
All I can say about the actions of some is that a true sher will not leave the path that he has taken up and look backwards.
A true sant is not a name, it is the awaken soul, the jagdi jot. If there are some people that want to pose as a something that they are not ... Gurbani tells us what is the end result in the lines 'Bhek Dakhayo Jagat Ko...' those people end up in naraks.
Some of the most recent fakes haven't even used the title sant anyways. Just look at ashutosh, bhaniarwala, im not sure if narinder grewal used the title.
