hi
just been listening to a katha by rangila on 'sona and mona' the story goes they were of to wash there diety (idol, who they consider to be a representation of god) in the morning a thirsty sikh came across them who had just been engaged in battle with some robbers he asked them for a drink of water but they refused saying the water was first to be used to wash the deity, so before he died he cursed them that in this life thakur (=god and who was guru gobind singh ji at this time) would not give them darshan in this life. at the end of the katha guru ji does give sona and mona darshan but they have already died, but with guru jis power they come back to life i.e take a new life?
what i am confused about is this do new souls when coming back to earth not come through the womb again? in this secnario the souls entered old aged bodies? can this happen? is this kutha correct? ok this is guru ji we are talking about so anything can happen but are there not any set rules? just wanted somebody to throw some light on this?

This is a sakhi and it's true. If you have ever been to Baba Bakala Sahib gurdhwara across from gurdhwara Mata Kaula, you might have heard about the sakhi there where Baba Bakala brough a dead cow back to life. Guru Sahib did not appreciate that and then Baba Bakala left their body where that gurdhwara stands today.
