Vaheguru Jee ka khalsa Vaheguru Jee kee fateh
I have a few questions which I hope someone in the sangat can answer.
What is the difference between lust and love? Is sikhi against both? If so, then what about the love that is felt when sitting in the company of Gursikhs/talking to Gursikhs " if they happen to be the opposite sex, is it wrong to be talking to them (even on a purely sikhi basis e.g. asking questions, discussing bani, getting inspiration if you are feeling “down” etc).
Please forgive me if I have said anything wrong " I am just a poor person wanting to know.

Depends on what male you talk 2,
if they are attractive and appealing to you then YES it will CAUSE LUST and your MIND will become SOILED and TRUST ME, it will become SO soiled that youll start thinking about those people and not naam or bani

Bhenji, love and lust are two totally different things. The love you feel when sitting in the company of Gursikhs, there is nothing wrong to it, because this love inspires you to learn new things from them. And there is definately nothing wrong with talking to opposite sex, we are all ONE , a Khalsa, as long as our intentions are good towards each other, there is nothing wrong. There is nothing wrong with talking to him/her asking questions about sikhi, and opening yourself. Gursikhs are SUPPOSE to love each other, but lust is a different thing, it is really hard to control. I don't know much about this, maybe some more knowledgable and wiser Gursikhs can help Kaur bhenji. All I know is that lust is a big issue just like anger, greed, attachment, and pride. Lust is a big issue because it is getting to our youth. But with more focus towards Gurbani and sikhi, these feelings can fade away. I have also noticed that parents sometimes have a problem with teenagers talking to the opposite sex, even if its about sikhi. Any thoughts on this?

real love, pyaar for guru sahib and his gursikhs is what we are supposed to experience.
fake love, for girlfriends, boyfriends etc is 100% MANMAT!
lust is lust, ie you are attracted to their body and are after them for such a reason, this is also very much against gurmat.

Lust is desire that can be broken like attachment. True love is something that can never be broken, souls are always linked in true love.
There is nothing wrong with talking to a Gursikh of opposite se x if it is purely sikhi basis at all.

Hanjee that's what I was getting at really (in a roundabout sort of way!)
From my understanding (which is very limited), I always thought that we are all bothers and sisters, so if there is no lust involved, then where is the problem?
Any thoughts?

Vahiguru ji ka khalsa, Vahiguru ji ki fateh!
Sadh Sangat Jio,
i always find that when talking to Gursikh Bibian, as when talking to all bibian, one should always be thinking of Vahiguru in their mind...
i also find, and i stress that this is intensely personal, that when i avoid making too much eye-contact with Bibian, it feels much more 'respectful towards them'.
Vahiguru ji ka khalsa, Vahiguru ji ki fateh!

We continue with learning process, what is good for us and what not, when we are seeking and begging GURU JI for sangat and naam daily.
NITNEM is the fence around us.
