Gur Fateh!

Singh132, please take a look at the article on Tapoban regarding Raagmala by Madan Singh, where Babu Teja Singh has been listed as a noteworthy "scholar" alongside Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh and others.

You may point to the reference as a passing comment, however the context in which Babu Teja appears is indeed suspect, more so given the way in which the author proceeds to describe geniune Sikh historians and scholars of old as Brahmanical and 'sikh only in name'...this re-writing of history and demonifying the genuine sources is typical of any neo-movement be they religious, political or otherwise.

Again, people often say that this is the view solely of the Author, however given the numerous people who have endorsed his works in his introductory pages and acknowledgements and its hosting by the Tapoban site clearly shows to the contrary.

I will leave readers to make their own minds up about this matter as per their own understanding of the politics that surround and permeate through the Panch Khalsa Diwan, the Sant Randhir Singh Jatha (Sarblohis) and the AKJ.

Gur Fateh!

Vahiguru ji ka khalsa, Vahiguru ji ki fateh!

Veer/Bhai Niranjana,

What is your point?

Are you referring to the fact that a 'Baba Teja Singh' is noted as no. 12 on this list.?

The author of the article states before listing all these names that:

"He [Prof Priara Singh Padam] further gives a detailed list of Sikh Scholars of the 20th Century who do not consider Ragmala to be Gurbani. "page 30

How on earth does that represent some sort of implicit or explicit support for 'Baba Teja Singh' on the part of Bhai Madan Singh...via quoting Piara Singh Padam's list? Perhaps you are 'well aware' that GurSikhs including Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh refused to even look at Teja Singh's face after he was excommunicated from the Panth...but again perhaps you have overlooked this.

Returning to the matter at hand, please give references from this document to explain why your views are what they are...i may well have overlooked the actual 'evidence' you have NOT referred to in your criticism.

Thanks.
