I just came across this pankti by Bhatt Keerath in Svaiyay Mehl 5 on Ang 1395

kwm koD vis krY pvxu aufMq n DwvY ]
kaam krodhh vas karai pavan oudda(n)th n dhhaavai ||
Lust and anger are brought under control, when the breath does not fly around, wandering restlessly.

(source: [www.sikhitothemax.com])

Does "breath" refer in some subtle way to saas giraas Naam Abhiyaas ?

Professor Sahib Singh Jee says...

gurU Amrdws kwm koD Awpxy v`s ivc krI r`Kdw hY, (auhnW dw) mn Btkdw

Although swaiya itself is clear enough but still Bhai Kulbir singh jee can explain much better. Khima for wrong padd chedd due to format.

Guru Mehar Karay

Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa

Pawan (air) represents chanchal (restless, fickle) nature of the mann (mind).

In the first pankiti Bhikha Bhatt jee says that Vaheguru's divine knowledge (gyaan) and Vaheguru's divine dhyaan (concentration) alone enables the Aatam Tatt to merge in Parmatam Tatt.

In second pankiti Bhatt jee writes that by indulging in Sach (Naam) can one realise Sach (Vaheguru) and this way alone one gets one-minded smaadhi. The first "Sach" has sihaari in the end and means Sach (Naam) vich i.e. in Sach Naam. the second Sach with an aunkad in the end represents Vaheguru.

In the third pankiti Bhatt jee says that such person who does the aforementioned, controls Kaam and Krodh. His pawan-roop mann then does not wander around.

Baani is Agam Agaadh Bodh. Guru Sahib baksh lain.

Daas,
Kulbir Singh
